It's fairly safe to assume that when Trey Parker co-created "South Park", he wasn't thinking, "Some day, I'll be famous enough to buy a $13 million mansion in Brentwood". He was probably thinking something more along the lines of, "Holy crap. I hope we don't get sued." He created the two short films that inspired "South Park" with his friend and creative partner, Matt Stone. They created "Jesus vs. Frosty" while they were in school together. After graduating and relocating to Hollywood, they created "Jesus vs. Santa", an unofficial sequel to their earlier project. "Jesus vs. Santa" was a massive hit, and eventually found its way to Doug Herzog at Comedy Central. He invited the pair to create a series, and "South Park" was born. The show is currently in its 17th season. In addition to writing, directing, and voicing many of the show's characters, Trey Parker, has also managed to find time to write a few feature-length movies and a Broadway musical. He has won four Emmy Awards, four Tony Awards, and a Grammy. He was also nominated for an Oscar. His crudely drawn cartoon featuring a bunch of trash-talking boys, has definitely blown up into a bigger career than even he might have imagined. All of his success has led to the recent purchase of the aforementioned $13 million mansion.
Trey Parker's house is spread out over roughly 10,000 square feet and is made up of seven bedrooms and eleven and a half bathrooms. The Spanish Colonial style mansion was built in 2002, and features a massive entry foyer, a formal dining room, a large living room, a library, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and an office. In addition to the opulent common spaces, Trey Parker's house has a large master suite, which includes a fireplace, a sitting room, a bathroom with a skylight, and a balcony with stairwell access to the backyard. Outside of Trey Parker's house, there is an outdoor barbecue/living room area, a heated swimming pool, and a one-bedroom guesthouse. The home cost $13,288,255. It's a rather odd sum that somehow seems to make total sense for the creator of one television history's strangest (and funniest) shows.
