Lou Rawls Net Worth: Lou Rawls was an American singer of jazz, blues and soul music who had a net worth of $10 million. Born Louis Allen Rawls (December 1, 1933 – January 6, 2006), he had released over 60 albums, sold more than 40 million records, as well as he recorded a variety of charting singles. Thanks to his smooth vocal style, he also served as a television, motion picture, and voice actor. Rawls was only seven when he began singing in the Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church choir. Later on, he teamed up with classmate, Sam Cooke, to create Gospel Music Group named Teenage Kings of Harmony. In 1955, he enrolled in the US Army where he served as paratrooper. In 1958, Rawls suffered a serious vehicle accident and remained in coma for five and a half days. The accident made him take more than a year off for a full recovery. Jazz, soul, gospel and disco are the styles he adopted to make his successful career. This placed him among the leading American artists of recent times. The album titled "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" made a big success in 1976 and is considered as his trademark album.While "Soulin", an album released in 1966, is considered as the first milestone in the career of Lou Rawls. After the success of this album, he decided to go on with the soul style. In 1967, he recorded and released his new album "Dead End Street" for which he received the first Grammy Award and was a success in terms of business. Lou Rawls died of lung cancer in Los Angeles at the age of 72 years.
